What this is: an indicative price-band estimate based on wall face area (length x height) and typical installed $/lineal-metre bands for each material in the Newcastle market. It is not a quote and does not bind any contractor.

Method: the calculator multiplies your wall length by the per-lineal-metre low and high figures for the selected material, then applies no further adjustment. It does not account for excavation, drainage, engineering, difficult access or GST - these are excluded from the figures below and priced separately by your licensed contractor.

Assumptions: the estimate holds material and length constant and ignores site-specific factors - soil type, rock excavation, drainage scope, access, and whether engineering or council approval applies. A wall over roughly 600mm high, or close to a boundary, may need council approval and an engineer's design to AS 4678, which adds cost not reflected here.
